One thing that hasn't seemed to change in over forty years is the love people have for the music of DR HOOK.
Personnel changes were bound to happen over time, but the music and spirit that audiences have come to expect whenever or wherever they see the words DR HOOK is still very much alive and well.
I'm now touring with a group of sensational new musicians who know how important it is to sing and play this timeless music just the way people want to hear it.
My desire is to bring those classic songs and wonderful sense memories flooding back to the forefront of the minds and music collections of people everywhere.

Following the success of the Universal release Dr Hook Timeless (Executive Producer, Dennis Locorriere) in the UK, New Zealand and Australia, Dennis Locorriere, who, from the very beginnings of Dr Hook to the height of their success, was the unmistakable voice of the band’s biggest hits and best loved songs, such as Sylvia's Mother, Cover Of Rolling Stone, Only 16, A Little Bit More, If Not You, Sharing The Night Together, Better Love Next Time, Sexy Eyes, When You're In Love With A Beautiful Woman, Years From Now and many more, is touring the world with an incredibly talented band of musicians and singers, playing all of the hits.

Following the Top 10 success of Universal Records’ Timeless album, a two disc, 40 track collection of Dr Hook’s greatest hits and favourite album tracks personally chosen by Dennis Locorriere and released in the UK this year, the decision has been made to release the album in other countries including New Zealand in 2015. With these released Locorriere will be embarking on a World Tour to celebrate the ‘Hook’ legacy, and perform the songs how the fans remember them sounding with the voice who recorded them.
Dennis comments: "There was quite a long period of time when I shied away from performing many of the classic Hook songs. Although the band and our music was popular all around the world, those days weren't always the happiest of times for us and I felt I needed to put some distance between my past and the present. Now the years have flown by and several of the original band members have sadly passed away. I've since come to understand and appreciate just how much these songs still mean to so many people so when I was approached by Universal I welcomed the opportunity to become totally involved in the production of this compilation. Shel Silversteins's 'The Devil and Billy Markham' at the prestigious Lincoln Centre in New York.
DL played an exclusive 8 week run to sold out houses, receiving rave reviews for his one man performance.
In 1989 Dennis received a phone call from an old co-hort and collaborator, Shel Silverstein. Shel had just written a one-man play called 'The Devil and Billy Markham' which he wanted him to perform. Much to his own surprise Dennis immediately said yes and made plans to travel upstate. "I'd never considered being an actor until Shel rang me and asked me to do this play," he says, "It was such an uplifting, dynamic experience, it made me realise how much I'd missed working in front of a live audience. There's nothing like it!" The play ran to packed housed for 8 weeks at the prestigious Lincoln Centre in New York and needless to say Dennis' performances and the reviews were nothing less than brilliant. "Billy Markham and the Devil" takes the form of a long narrative poem which he tells the story of a down-on-his-luck blues singer who makes a desperate pact with the Devil and eventually comes out on top. The battle of wits between the Devil and Billy unfolds throughout an hour long ballad and involves a host of characters such as Hitler, Fatty Arbuckle and Chiang Kai-Sheck in bizarre situations including a weird pool game and a wedding between Billy's girlfriend and the Devil himself.

Dr. Hook & The Medicine Show perform music and appear in "Who is Harry Kellerman..." with Dustin Hoffman.
The beginning of the relationship bewteen DL, Dr. Hook and Shel Silverstein... the rest they say is history...

DL joins an un-named bar band in New Jersey... later named Dr. Hook & The Medicine Show and finally Dr. Hook.
